There are no exceptions to this rule as it is a requirement of our insurance provider. Funds raised from the Little Apple Marathon are used to support these Charities.

Start Times and Finish Lines

- 5K – 8:05 am
The Start and Finish Line are on the west end of Tuttle Creek State Park. Parking will be on the east end of Tuttle Creek State Park.
Runners in the Marathon will have 6.5 hours of course support. In order to complete the Marathon without being disqualified, you will need a pace of 15 minutes per mile. If you are not to starting the 4th loop by 12:50 pm, you will be asked to stop.
All runners receive a T-shirt.
We are using the Chronotrack timing system to ensure that everyone receives an accurate time. Per USATF Rule 245.1, Open Men’s and Women’s top three awards in the Marathon and the Half Marathon will be based on gun time (the order in which the athletes cross the finish line). Age group and Relay awards will be based on timing system time (the actual time elapsed between an athlete reaching the starting line and finish line). A digital clock will be located at the beginning of each loop to indicate the unofficial running time. The digital clocks at the finish line display your unofficial time. Official time is determined by the Chronotrack timing system.
NO ANIMALS, ROLLER BLADES, SKATES, SCOOTERS OR UNAUTHORIZED BICYCLES ARE PERMITTED ON THE RACE COURSE
A Hydration Company (TBA) and water will be provided at the Finish Line and at all fluid stations (see course map).
TBA, in assorted flavors, will be available at water stops along the way. There will be other energy food at stations along the last half of the course. If you trained to a particular flavor we encourage you to bring your own as flavors on the course cannot be guaranteed.

Race Day Cancellation and Race Alteration Policy
It is the primary goal of the Little Apple Marathon to provide and ensure a safe event for participants, volunteers and community people alike. We understand the commitment the participants have made in entering the race, however, the decisions regarding race cancellations and/or alterations will be based on the larger community safety as well as the participants.
The Little Apple Marathon officials, along with city officials will make decisions regarding the cancellation or alteration of the race. Prior to the race, the Marathon officials will apprise the participants of the weather conditions and how the on-course flag system designation works. Marathon officials will describe any changes that may be decided as a result of weather or other unsafe conditions. In the case of a course evacuation, Little Apple Marathon officials and city police and other city officials will communicate throughout the race course; and will direct participants to safe shelters to await transportation back to the start and/or finish area.
